Follower Count or Sales?
Follower count is still a visible success metric for many brands. But follower growth and business results aren't always directly connected — on some accounts, growth doesn't contribute to sales at all, simply because it isn't reaching the right audience.

That doesn't mean followers don't matter. They're valuable for community, trust, and repeat touchpoints. But if the goal is sales, what matters more is the quality of those followers, their relationship with the content, and where they sit in the purchase journey.
Without a clearly defined marketing goal, every metric can look good. Once the goal is clear, it becomes much easier to see which number actually matters.
